What you are about to see first entered my life as an odd assortment of old photos, newspaper clippings, personal writings, medical prescriptions, and handmade mementos, all stuffed into a large and somewhat moldy moving-size box. The box was acquired for pennies at a nearby swap meet and it contained an unfiltered biography of sorts-- a few wild years in the life of Richard Brown, low-budget photographer and teen-about-town who could be found traipsing about Hollywood’s boulevards in the early 1970s. I now present him to you in the same manner that I became acquainted with him: through fragments of his own words and pictures. May a bit of his spirit infect your own.
